Retaining Wall Collapse

A section of the retaining wall adjacent to Dunaskin Locomotive Shed has collapsed, as a result of the torrential rainfall experienced recently. About ten foot of wall has collapsed, with another five or six feet or so threatening to come down.

The intention is to clear the drainage channels in the short term, to allow excess rainwater to drain away safely, and then rebuild the wall using the original bricks.

Although not in itself a particularly difficult task, this nevertheless highlights the ongoing issues which we are now responsible for, having purchased part of the Dunaskin site last year.
